Collegiate Open Day and Information evening

There will be an Open Day for prospective students and their parents for Years 9 to 12 on Wednesday 11 October 2006.
The School will be open from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

An Information Evening for new and prospective Kindergarten to Year 4 parents will also take place on Wednesday 11 October between 5:30 - 7:00pm in the new Alkira building at Anglesea Village. Child care will be available.

Alkira Official Opening

The new Years 3 and 4 building, Alkira (bright sunshine) was opened by His Excellency, the Honourable William Cox, AC RFD ED, Governor of Tasmania, at Anglesea Village South Hobart on Sunday 1 October at 3:00 pm.


Term 3 dates

Term 3 starts on Monday September 25 and concludes on Wednesday December 13.
The mid term exeat will be on Friday 27 October, the day after Hobart Show Day.


Anglesea Presents

The children from Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in Anglesea Presents in two performances on Thursday 7 September in Linmor Hall. Prep children performed their original and creative interpretation of an old favourite The Owl and the Pussycat.This was followed by Years 1 and 2 who answered a question which will have been puzzling many of you for years. The question is Humpty Dumpty, was he pushed or did he fall?


IT Information Evening

Prior to the CPA meeting on Monday 4 September, Collegiate will be presenting an IT Information Night which will showcase some of the many ways in which Information Technology is incorporated throughout the School, and in particular, our laptop program. Teachers from all three campuses will demonstrate a range of learning and teaching applications of information technology in the classroom - learning software applications, Collegiate's intranet portal, eportfolios, electronic whiteboards, use of email and the Internet, online databases and robotics.
The presentation will start at 7:00 pm and run for about an hour at Founders’ Hall, Molle Street. Please join us for the presentation and a glass of wine, and as always there will be time for questions and discussion afterwards.


Year 9 Camp 2007

There will be an information evening for parents and students on Wednesday 30th August at 7:30 pm in the Performing Arts Centre.
All interested parties are invited to attend.

On Thursday 1 December 2005 the Board of Management released the St. Michael's Collegiate Strategic Plan 2005 - 2008.

Intergenerational Early Learning Centre

A $950,000 Early Learning Centre (ELC), a joint initiative between aged care provider OneCare and St. Michael's Collegiate School was launched recently, linking the two organisations in providing Tasmania's first innovative intergenerational programs.
